Taxes
This section is found under the setup tab then the taxes option, which lists the different types of taxes the customer has, the percent the tax is, the type of rounding method used, if the customer taxes gratuity and if they tax before loyalty. There is a link to zip2tax.com in order to look up tax info easily. In the tax profile, there is the name and description, the amount in percent, the choice of rounding method, and the checkboxes for tipping gratuity and adding loyalty before tax.
Taxes in Tonic are charged by the item, not by order subtotal.
The different round methods are:
•Round: Regular mathematical rounding, .49 is rounded down and anything above is rounded up
•Floor: This method rounds everything down to the whole dollar
•Ceiling: This method rounds everything up to the whole dollar.
