Installing/Resetting a Partnertech Receipt Printer (RP-100)

Question or Problem:Installing or resetting a Receipt printer(RP-100)

Solution:

 Follow the steps below when connecting an RP-100 to the SP-5514:

        • Connect the printer to an available COM port .

        • Verify all dip switches are OFF except #4 which is ON. (Be very careful with this step as it isn't always mandatory)

        • Configure the COM port in the system to 19200 baud rate with n, 8, 1 parity.

        • Install the printer to the COM port the printer is connected to as a Generic Text Only under Add a printer or scanner option.

        • Print a test page.


If prints in hexadecimal dump reset receipt printer by turning off the power and holding the feed key and turning on the power, continue holding the feed key until it prints out that instructions "to terminate hexadecimal dump press FEED button three times." Then proceed to press the feed key three times and it should print out receipt test page.
