The new Partnertech SP-850 terminals that we are now selling come with the touchscreen working out of the box, however, there is a specific set of instructions to install the eGalax driver for this particular terminal, listed below:
1. Navigate to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs
2. Search for eGalax Touch, uninstall and restart the terminal.
3. Download the file attached to this post eGalax Firmware Drivers.zip
4. Open that folder, and within there will be two folders. From eGalaxWorks31xx_V06-Younglighting_15p1 for Partner.zip, launch eGalaxUpdate2.exe.
5. Click Load Image and browse for PCAP3104_0404_v06__C000__YL_15p1_cs3p9_USB_DThqa_E2.3104, which is located in the same folder as the firmware utility.
6. Once the firmware has successfully been updated to v06, navigate to the folder eGalaxTouch_5.13.0.14220-Release-150820-ForPCAP.zip. Run the application file setup.exe.
7. During the installation, uncheck PS/2 and RS232 interface driver; the rest of the options can be left as their defaults.
After these steps are complete, you will be able to set up the terminal to click on release using the eGalax driver.
