Running out of Disk Space
There may be times where you encounter a situation where your computer is Running out of Disk Space. Here is a list of steps you can take to free up more space on your Hard Drive:
1. Check free disk space: Under settings you can check how much space you have available on your system

- Settings
- System
- Storage
2. Check C: Drive: Under your files you will see on the rows Windows (C:) delete and remove all unnecesary files, also delete files associated to windows updates under Windows Cabs.
3. Be sure to empty your recycle bin to insure deleted files do not continue to take up space.
4. Run Windows Updates: Under Control Panel you will see the Security Center, select to check for the latest update. This will Launch Internet Explorer and open Microsoft Update.

5. If the Update continues to fail Uninstall the Update and choose a particular update:
For windows XP and Windows 7
- Start
- Contol Panel
- Windows Update
- Choose "Download update but let me choose whether or not to install them."
For Windows 8 and 10
- Start
- Control Panel
- System
- Advanced System Settings
- Click on the Hardware tab
- Device Installation Settings
- Choose the option "Let me choose what to do option."
