Order Types

There are several different order types that we have available depending on the type of store that the customer has. They are:

•Delivery

•Dine-In

•Take Out

•Banquet

•Room Service

•Beverage Cart

•Tournament

•Petty Cash

•Refund

•Drive-Thru

These order types are significant due to printers and KVDs can be assigned to only print or show specific order types as well as order prep. Order type is one way of organizing sales reports. Also certain order types, when chosen, bring up different things IE: Delivery is set to prompt the customer’s account info to be brought up when used in conjunction with a caller ID unit. Or Dine-In brings up the table layout.

Quick Sale (QS)

Even though QS is listed with the order types, it is actually an order mode. These orders can be added to other orders by selecting send and then selecting the order. It also has quick pay options that list amounts of money at or just over the amount of the order to make paying easier. You can change the order type of an order once it is opened as well. Order numbers will increase with each QS created. IE: If a QS is set as Dine In, the table layout will appear so that a table for the order can be chosen.

Order Name/Number

The order name/number is something that can be configured however the customer wants. It can be set up to start as a number or an order name be required each time. When each order type is selected, it will give you the opportunity to name the order.

•For Delivery, the user is prompted to search for a customer account and that becomes the order name.

•For Dine-In orders, the table number gets assigned as the order name but that can be changed by selecting the field. Also once the table is selected, a credit card can be swiped and it will add the name on the card to the end of the current order name. This helps for setting up multiple orders for the same table from the beginning.

•For Refund, Pick Up and Take Out, the user is prompted to create an order name when they are first selected.

•By swiping a loyalty card in the open order screen, the customer account name associated to that card will become the name of the order and will be linked to the customer account.

The order name can also be changed at anytime. When the open order screen is up, selecting the current order name in the upper left corner of the screen will show the order details. Here is a field that shows the order name. Select that field and the order name can be changed.

Sales Groups/Courses
To display the sales groups or course details within the order, users can click on the "eye" icon on the top right of the order.

Dine In/Table Layout

Host/Hostess Queue

This window pops up when the Queue button on the table layout page is selected. This will allow the host/hostess to sit the servers more fairly. It can be organized by tables, seats or net sales. It lists the servers and how much they have had. The amount of time shown on the pop up can be filtered by the last hour, 30 minutes, last clock in, or any amount of time they would like.
