Modifiers
These are the different options that each menu item has (IE: The type of salad dressing, the temperature of a burger, the type of pasta in a dish, the flavor soda, or no mustard on a sandwich.) The first section the user is brought to lists the current modifier group names, if they are Store Wide, Description, and Delete.
Above the list there is the + button to create a new prep group and the Choices button to list all of the mods that exist in all of the groups. If the user selects Choices, then a new button appears called Charges. This will lead to a list of all the mods with their costs.
When creating a new modifier group, the user selects +. Input a name and a description if the user wants one. Under the description is a check box for Store Wide. This makes the mod available for ever menu item in the system. Min/Max sets the minimum or maximum choices that can be applied to a menu item.
Mods can only be added to a menu item once. To add the mod choices to the mod group, if it has not been used by different mod group already, then you select the + next to Choice. You input the name, leave announcer name blank, a description if it is desired, the multiplier will say how much of the prep will decrement from Inventory, the price if it costs anything, if there is extra liquor or state tax for the mod, and a check box for parent prefix to set the mod as a parent for an item that will not show. Once the user selects save, the mod groups that have the mod can be seen, the charges for it and Inventory ingredients can be added to it.
To add a choice that already exists, use the dropdown menu to select the choice and press Add.
The price set in the mod choice profile can be overridden on three different levels: Menu, Section and Item.
To do this on the menu level, select the menu and select the modifier button under the menu description and then in the fourth column titled “Menu Price”, change the price to what is desired and select save.
On the Section level, select the section and select the modifier charges button and in the column titled “Section Price”, change the price and select save.
On the item level, select the menu the item is on, select the edit button at the far right of the recipe, then in the new window select the charges button and then in the column titled Item Price make the price change and select save. On all three of these levels not only can the price be changed but in the columns after the price for each level, the tax for each can be adjusted.
