Login Screen
The Login Screen is the first screen that opens when the program is started up and it is the screen that comes up when a user is logged or timed out. Here we will go over each item and what the user does and/or how to do them
Phone Number
The First thing that is seen on the Login Screen in the upper left hand corner of the screen is the support number.
Exit
This button will close Ordyx and return the user to the desktop. When this is selected, a user that has the permission ***FOH EXIT APPLICATION*** enters their employee number and selects authenticate. The program will then close down.
Availability
Under the exit button is a box containing messages. If availability is being used, items that are unavailable (86) or low availability are listed.
Age Verification
Under the message box, is where the “Age 21” date verification appears if the customer so desires it to be on. It is a setting development turns on.
Number Pad
The number pad is what is used to log into the system. Only users with the permission ***MAIN STORE LOGIN*** can do this. The user enters in their number and selects the login button.
Clock In
This is done so that Ordyx knows that the customer is working and allowed to do things within the program. The need to clock in to use the system can be removed by adding the permission ***FOH ALLOW LOGIN WITHOUT CLOCKIN***. Typically only managers have this permission but it can be added to anyone, though we never recommend it for reporting and security reasons. To clock in on the touchscreen:
1.The employee will select ‘Clock In’ on the login page
2.Enter their login number
3.Select ‘Clock In’ again.
4.If an employee attempts to clock in before the threshold time or if they’re not on the schedule, a manager can force their clock in time by selecting ‘Force’. Once an employee clocks in, a ticket will print on the receipt printer showing their name, date and time when the user clocked in (if enabled).
Clock Out
This will stop Ordyx from adding time worked by the employee and disallow them from using the system. If the customer requires their employees to report tips with the permission ***FOH USER REPORT TIPS*** an employee cannot clock out if they are not cashed out. If they do not report tips, then the user can clock out at any time. To clock out on the touchscreen: 1. The employee will select ‘Clock Out’ on the login page 2. Enter their login number 3. Select ‘Clock Out’ again. 4. Once the user selects clock out, a new window will appear where the user can enter the amount of cash tips the user received and their tip out amount. This will also display the non cash tips the employee received when the user cashed out. The user’s details may also be displayed before the user clock out.
Break
If an employee decides to go on break, they will select ‘Break’ on the login page, enter their login number and select ‘Authenticate.’ A ticket will print (if enabled) on the receipt printer showing the word ‘Break’ above the employee’s name. The next line will display the start date and time of their break. Once an employee returns from their break and they would like to end it, they will perform the same procedure as if they were starting their break. The system will ask them “You are currently on break, Are you sure you want to end your break?” They will either select Yes or No. If they choose yes, a ticket will print the word ‘Break’ above the employee’s name and also the end date and time of their break and how many minutes accumulated when they were on break.
