Credit

This is another standard way of processing an order on the POS terminal. This option allows the user to enter the credit card number either by swiping the card on the MSR that is attached to the POS terminal or entering the credit card number manually. The user selects the ‘Credit’ button, then swipes the credit card or enters the credit card number manually if the MSR is unable to read the magnetic strip. The credit card can also be swiped at the open order screen. If done there, the option to “Close” will pop up. Select close and it will take the user to the pay screen with credit already selected and the proper info in the correct fields. Once the credit card has been swiped, Ordyx will recognize the credit card number and display the last 4 digits of the card on the payment screen. The rest of the number and the expiration date is masked to comply with PCI regulations. The security code is optional; however it can be made to be required. Once all the credit card info has been attained, the user will hit ‘Process’ to complete the transaction. This permission is called ***FOH ORDER PAY CREDIT***. To void a credit payment, the permission ***FOH ORDER PAY VOID CREDIT*** must be assigned to the user’s role. To enter the card number manually, the permission ***FOH ORDER PAY CREDIT MANUAL*** needs to be assigned to the user’s role.
