A device installed on a terminal which displays the customers’ info when the phone line rings. Caller ID box can have unlimited phone lines. Generally, a typical pizza shop setup for delivery will have 2, 3, or 4 lines. We support the Ethernet unit from CallerID.com or a serial caller ID box.
Installing a serial caller ID device
1.Connect the phone line (RJ-11 cable) from the wall jack to the INPUT line of the caller ID box (Line 1, 2, 3, 4).
2. The OUTPUT line of the caller ID box connects to the terminal. Connect it to either COM 1, 2, or 3 of the terminal. If the On Screen Keyboard is open and it is plugged into COM 1, it will interfere with the Caller ID.
3. A serial to CAT5 adapter is connected if the caller id device needs to be located elsewhere other than next to the terminal.
