Ordyx enables users to broadcast messages throughout all devices in a store at the same time. This allows owners and managers to ensure all employees are aware of the message they are broadcasting. For example, if a GM wants to remind staff about a monthly meeting, he can send a broadcast message from the Terminal and all devices will receive the notification. These messages can be used to remind staff of an ongoing event, or simply to notify them all of a new event. For example, if a manager has realized that there is a shortage in a food item, they can broadcast a message to all devices to ensure staff are fully aware.
How to set up a Broadcast Message?
Whether the message is recurring, like a monthly meeting, or an update “on the fly”, all broadcast messages are set up in Back Office. The “+” button directly below the header will direct the user to the options for their message. Under “Type” the user can select which device this broadcast message will be visible on. A user can set this to terminal, and then they can access the message from the terminal and broadcast it to every device in the store. The “Name” field is what the user will name their message. For example, if they want to broadcast a message to all devices regarding food allergies, the user can name the message “Allergy.” The “message” box is where the user will input the exact message they want to send to their team.
